Dragon Age Journeys 3

BioWare has revealed that playing the Dragon Age: Journeys Flash game unlocks content for Dragon Age: Origins for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. That’s right, all three platforms! Here’s a juicy tidbit from BioWare’s blog:

By completing certain accomplishments in Journeys, you can unlock 3 items for use when you purchase a copy of Dragon Age: Origins for the PC, Xbox 360 or PS3. By playing DAJ while signed in with your EA account, these items will automatically be added to your inventory in DA:O when you sign in with that same account. These entitlements work across all three platforms.

That’s a very, very clever way to get people to sign up for an EA account.

Are you going to play Dragon Age: Journeys? If so, are you going to take advantage of the bonus items for Dragon Age: Origins?

well, this should distract me from work until the game comes out

I still haven't decided which version of the game to get. Should I get the 360 version for achievements and Live Parties, or get the PC version for better graphics? If it is/was a Games For Windows Live game I would know which one to get. DA:J should keep me occupied while I wait for games to come out, and for my new video card to come in.

I hear ya sandrock. I always go through that with games like these. I actually own Kotor and Oblivion on both consoles and the PC. it's a different experience on both. plus I always enjoyed modding my PC version

I was set to get a console version, but then I read about the PC version having more versatile camera angles available. *sigh*

Shockwave562 says:

ya Ray I felt that way about Kotor as well

bsukenyan says:

@shockwave if the pc version has the games for windows tag on it you might be able to get your achievements there too, which would make it the better deal for you. the benefits of having the pc version and the 360 achievements. best of both worlds.

Sandrock323 says:

@bsukenyan

Only games with the Games for Windows Live tag on them have achievements and then even if it does, that doesn't mean the Steam version I get will. (Lost Planet is that way.)

Shockwave562 says:

@bsukenyan. that actually is a pretty cool thing. I am an achievement whore. I don't know why I enjoy them so much

bsukenyan says:

@sandrock323 yeah i have seen that there are some variations to which games have the achievements and which ones dont. i dont have a laptop that is capable of playing any of the games for pc games. so i really don't know a whole lot about the system and how it works.

@shockwave562 same here, i love finding games that have cool achievements on them. i like the bragging rights after i finish one.

Sandrock323 says:

@everyone

The game is available to play now!
