An Atlantic City Photo for Eddie Izzard Fans

Whether you call him Engelbert Humperdinck, Banglebert Slaptyback, Gerry Dorsey, or Slut Bonwalla, I had to snap this photo at Trump’s Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ. As a huge Eddie Izzard fan, it was a moral imperative. Check it out!

Ah Banglebert. Great Pic, Ray.

Ieyke says:

My friends and I spent New Years hanging out, gaming on all manner of systems, card gaming, firing off the firecrackers and watching Eddie Izzard :D

How's that for a coincidence?

@Ieyke Excellent! Which of Eddie's shows did you watch?

Ieyke says:

Definite Article and Glorious.

I think I have all but one of his shows saved on my PS3. In fact, they're the only videos I have saved on my PS3 :P

@Ieyke That makes yours one of the best PS3s in the world!!!

Cake or death?

thundercracker says:

@leyke

time to upgrade the hard drive old boy

ive got 120 movies, the entire run of mtv's the state, every episode of mr show, every episode of transformers g1, including the movie, every episode of GI joe up to the DIC series, about 100 episdoes of beavis and butthead, a crap ton of standup comedy, (including eddie izzard)

I also have about 50 blu rays and im still rocking about 250 gigs of free space

i think i have the greatest ps3 in the world

thundercracker says:

ok now i am going to ask perhaps the stupidest question that has ever been asked on this wonderful website….

what does eddie izzard have to do with englebert humperdink?

Ieyke says:

Methinks you haven't watched the right one of his shows if you don't know :P

My PS3 isn't even close to out of HD space and I'm not trying to fill it. It's my PC's job to be a media monolith. The PS3 has the simple task of gaming.

PC has the complete runs of:

X-Men the animated series

The Riches

M*A*S*H

Freakazoid

Battlestar Galactica

Stargate SG1/Atlantis/Universe

Chuck

Heroes

LOST

Veronica Mars

Firefly

Futurama

Top Gear

The Venture Bros.

Metalocalypse

Blackadder

Bones

Arrested Development

Future Weapons

Pinky & The Brain

Plus at least 45 GB of songs and a ton of movies…

I don't even want to try and have all that on my PS3. It'd just be a headache to search XD

thundercracker says:

this doesnt change the fact that i have the most badass ps3 in the world

60 gb launch model ftw

although, i need to rip arrested development.

And as far as the eddie izzard, its true i havent got around to watching him yet, so the englebert allusion eludes me. I did watch some ricky gervais yesterday though

what is it about english comics?

Ieyke says:

Watch Izzard. He's probably the best comedian ever.

thundercracker says:

my pc is also a media monolith of sorts, i just prefer to watch my stuff on the bravia

if that stuff is stored on an external hd, all you have to do is plug it into your ps3 usb and you are good to go.

Does anyone else find it annoying that on the xmb, you cant subdivide your videos into folders? So i have to name my stuff with 00s and 11s to facilitate alphabetical searching

Ieyke says:

You can with music…never tried with videos.

thundercracker says:

i may or may not be downloading all 7 eddie izzard comedy specials ;)

@thundercracker Watch Eddie Izzard's "Dressed to Kill" show. It's his most popular and most consistent, plus you'll get the Engelbert reference. In gaming terms, I like Eddie Izzard better than Dragon Age: Origins. Ha!

Ieyke says:

He's the sole reason I watched The Riches, which btw IS actually quite a good show. It just doesn't end properly since it got canceled…. :(

SlickyFats says:

Did you hear Engelbert Humperdinck died? (slowly nod yes, then shake it off with a no, rinse and repeat)

I love Dressed To Kill. It one of the funniest stand ups I have seen.
