Coffee Talk #163: Games You Want Patched for PlayStation Move

I’m totally psyched to play Heavy Rain with PlayStation Move support. When Sony announced that it will be patched for Move, I was excited. When I tried a Move-enabled demo at Sony’s E3 2010 booth, I was sold. The game completely lends itself to motion controls. Doing a quarter-circle movement with Move feels more natural than doing the same with an analog stick. Most importantly, I’d get to experience a brilliant game in a totally new way.

Welcome to Coffee Talk! Let’s start off the day by discussing whatever is on your (nerd chic) mind. Every morning I’ll kick off a discussion and I’m counting on you to participate in it. If you’re not feelin’ my topic, feel free to start a chat with your fellow readers and see where it takes you. Whether you’re talking about videogames, Chris Jericho as a game show host, U.S.A. vs. Algeria, or your picks for Wimbledon, Coffee Talk is the place to do it.

  1. High velocity bowling. I hope Move can improve on the sixaxis control

    Demon's Souls. Some sword and shield action

    Ratchet & Clank. Throwing my wrench around like a mad man

    Rag Doll Kung Fu. Windmill attack!!!

    inFAMOUS. I don't know why but that seems like it would be awesome

    God of War. No explaining needed

    Flower

    I didn't put any FPSs because I really need to see one working with the Move to see how it might benefit you or add to the experience.

  2. I think Slicky named all the games i was thinking of.

    I'll throw in MLB the Show. It would work like the Wii Sports baseball game.

    @Jericho as game show host

    Crap! was that yesterday?? I thought it was today.

    @US World Cup

    They need Slovenia to score or score themselves to take this to the lottery. It seems in the event of a tie it goes to goal differential and if that's tied. They draw names out of a hat. How lame!?!?!?

  3. maybe they can do a real fishing game now? not that this is a big priority for me, just an idea

    this might be a stupid stupid question, but by now thats what youve come to expect

    does the move wand have rumble support?

  4. @Tokz

    Jericho on Downfall wasn't all that interesting and he didn't really add much to the show. It won't be on the air very long.

  5. @thunder

    that's not a dumb question, I am curious about that too. Sony might tell everyone that its impossible AGAIN because of the sensitivity of the motion controls.

  6. @slicky

    I just like to support Jericho and his endeavors. Some of his Fozzy stuff isn't that bad.

  7. My average gamerscore per game (forget if we used a more official term for that number before or not) is 420 exactly…thought that was wroth sharing because of what it made me want to do when I just calculated that. lol.

  8. @tokz

    yeah but i cant pretend like i wasnt excited as hell about it…lol

  9. @thunder

    me too, i just couldn't cheer cuz i'm at work. I was really hoping that they would have to draw names out of a hat. I wanted to have the US against the world angle continue.

    @Big Blak

    you know it! Kick kick pass!

  10. @BB

    I still have it unfortunately. I had two people bail on coming to actually take a look at it so far. Hoping it will pick up a little bit though and I can just find someone to take it off my hands.

  11. @Tokz

    Yeah, work friendly is no fun. fortunately/unfortunately I do not have to do that since I am still in school. (I say it like that because I would rather just go to work somewhere than school)

  12. @Tokz

    I will gladly trade, lol. I don't hate school, I would just rather have a job already and be working somewhere.

  13. @Friendly's

    HAHA I can't help but laugh. Its a good idea. My father still refuses to put it on the menu because it is time consuming to make it and its super unhealthy. We served it as a special a few times, but when we get swamped its the last thing he wants to make. I like my name better even though its a slight rip from Jack in the Box bacon ultimate cheeseburger – The Bacon Ultimate FattyMelt.

  14. @Big Blak

    I did not see a Friendly's in my many adventures these past two summers. I wish i could've made it 3 in a row. I could've kick, kick, passed with Big Blak.

  15. @Tokz

    I will have to take your word for that. I would much rather be working and getting a paycheck instead of having to take out loans for classes and to live off of…and I don't want that interest to kick in either.

  16. @ Tokz

    We will one day my friend, we will. There aren't as many Friendly's as there used to be but they are still around.

  17. @rpad

    I forget your East Coast ties. I've been wanting that Jack in the Box breakfast sandwich. I wish i could drive down the road and pick one up. I miss living in So Cal.

  18. The only things I can eat from Jack in the Box are the breakfast foods, and thankfully they serve those 24 hours a day.

    The place I'd love to just go to is Waffle House. But I think that only a few of you can actually hit them up regularly. Definitely Sandrock and Cami, but maybe RROD, Slicky, and Smartguy.

    I can tear up some Waffle House hash browns a variety of way along with some steak and waffles.

  19. @ tokz

    If I moved back east, Jack in the Box, Del Taco, and In 'N Out are actually the last fast food chains I'd miss. I don't remember ever seeing a Panda Express in Pittsburgh (but I could be wrong), but I'd totally miss Carl's Jr.

  20. I didn't realize until the first I went to Florida that Jack in the Box wasn't everywhere and not all are 24 hours. Breakfast Jack is the best day after drinking food ever. Their Tacos are the best Drunk food.

    We recently got a Krystal's in Dallas, but I have been there yet. I keep saying I am going to go get a Steamer Pack.

    We have plenty of Waffle Houses but I have never been to one. I used to like Denny's but all the ones around here closed and IHOP sucks.

    I got food poisoning from a Carls so its a no go for me. Panda Express is pretty good.

  21. @Ray

    I wish we had one around here. The best I can do to get White Castle is in the frozen section at Wal-Mart.

  22. @ Slicky

    Check out Waffle House. They got their own language for hash browns. It kicks ass.

  23. @N8R

    Waffle Houses are abundant here. They just pop out of the ground like shrooms.

  24. @ Smartguy

    I wasn't sure how far south they went. I knew they spread from Georgia to Oklahoma because that's where I stopped seeing them.

  25. Oh and we have a White Castle two buildings down from the Waffle House as well.

  26. Waffle House and Krystal's are everywhere in Memphis. (Krystal's taste better than White Castle to me. Maybe I'm just used to the mustard though?) Backyard Burger was the first and still has the best black Angus burgers around. Living in the country's largest truck stop has a few advantages.

  27. @n8r

    there are no waffle houses in chicago. I have to drive by bsu's turf to find one.

    @rpad

    i will trade u jack in the box for white castle's. A crave case to be exact.

  28. @rpad
    those muthasuckas! Is friendly’s a Cali fast food chain. I’ve never heard of it before.

  29. @ Tokz

    What!!! Dude Friendly’s was born in the great state of MA. We gotta get a friendly’s in Chi Town (do people still call it that lol?).

  30. @Tokz

    Crave cases are the best! Waffle Houses are pretty good too, but here in Muncie we have a mom and pop owned Sunshine Cafe that is really good that I like to go to instead.
