This Week’s Videogame Releases

While it’s not quite as bone dry as last week, there aren’t a ton of interesting games out this week. I’m curious to see how Michael Jackson: The Experience sells. The King of Pop is gone (rest in peace), but his family is still around to exploit his name. I wonder if Michael’s millions of fans will pick this game up. PSP gamers have a nice sequel (that’s free of Jesus juice) to gobble up this week in Patapon 3.

Any of you guys and gals buying new games this week?

  1. Not planing on buying anything, but Patapon 3 is on the Gamefly Q for the wife. She's been playing Metroid: Other M over the last few days and when I asked her how it was her response was something to the effect of, "F*****g Team Ninja gave Samus so much BS emotional baggage in this game that they turned that most bad ass woman in gaming into a f*****g trip to the Lilith Fair."

    1. Wow. Although I haven't played "Metroid: Other M", I think she should do her own game reviews like that. I'd definitely read them.

      -M

      1. She has, minus the cursing. She did out God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and Dragon Quest IX reviews. They all have an element of snark in them.

  2. I'm torn between a batch of PS1 games, a bad ass recliner, and the G2X phone by Tmo.

    1. Get the games and then go to an office furniture store and get a nice office chair for your game playing. Swivel, tilt, and awesome all in one.

      1. I found this recliner for $299 rocks, swivels, and, wait for it……reclines. Its really big, soft, and NOT leather, made from tempurpedic materials for my 6' 2" 250+lbs frame. The games would cost just over $140.

      2. It's my money so I would only be cheating myself lol. I use her for Amazon because I'm to lazy to set up an account even though it would take 30 seconds.

      3. Well then you do have a dilemma on your hands but id go with the recliner if you can afford it. you could always get those game later and possibly cheaper.

      4. you could also get the recliner, and then some of the game gradually instead of all at once. That might be the best way to do it. It's always easier to buy the more expensive thing first because after that the prices just keep going down.

      1. I forgot aboot the Pyramid. There wasn't a lot of info on that phone last time I really looked into it so I was focused on the G2X. I saw some demos from the shows and I am happy that I held off of the G2. Btw which is the better processor, the Tegra or Snapdragon 1.2?

  3. @Rpad

The HTC Pyramid is now know as the Sensation if you didn't know that by now.

    1. They sound bitter. I'm 23 and bring my DSi with me all over the place and play in public too. Not all the time, and not when I'm at some place like a bar of course, but almost any other time I will.

      1. I know dude. I see people, young and old (and sometimes dead), all the time out in public with Nintendo products. I can't even recall the last time I saw someone with a PSP on the train or bus.

      2. I only know a couple people with PSP's, and they never have them with them. I don't get it, but they have a mobile game system that they only play at home. I agree, Nintendo users are always out with their DS systems.

      3. I used to see one person with a psp at school. It was one of those overweight lifeforms that you couldn't tell I it was male or female. Baggy clothing and black fingernails with short hair. A few semesters ago I saw it with another sexually ambiguous partner.

      1. I thought the voting was still going. In the final 4 phase. I'm voting for Hillis since they didn't give him a pro bowl nod lol
