  1. There are no hackers, only Zuul.

Honestly, when you consider the whole Geohot nonsense, it makes sense that people immediately jump the conclusion that it was hackers. Could just as easily be any number of things, such as a random glitch that's difficult to troubleshoot, or that their servers don't like nuclear radiation…..you know, whatever.

      1. Yeah, I've pulled out the "There is no Matt, only Zuul" line at work before, usually when I'm feeling overwhelmed and someone starts to throw more crap in the pot for me to stir.

  2. James Cameron sent out a Tweet yesterday to remind people that Skynet went active April 19, 2011 and began its attack against humanity on April 21 according to the most recent Terminator mythos.

So why Skynet is not in the poll is a criminal omission.

    1. Yeah I posted that on April 19th too, we had a discussion about it in one of my classes.

  3. I would say it is very likely it could be hackers. Yes that is the conclusion that everyone will jump to, but think about why we jump to that conclusion—because there is evidence and motive to support that conclusion. Anonymous has done plenty of other things in the very recent past, and the GeoHot issue got a lot of people riled up about issues with Sony (I think Smartguy can attest to that), so why is it unreasonable to think that people who take issue with things that Sony does, the recent controversy with GeoHot, and people who have shown that they will take these types of actions very recently. To me that seems like a no-brainer.

Yes there are probably some good arguments out there as to why it could be a glitch or something like that, but this is very convenient I think. It's just like how it's so convenient that when the US needs a reason to extradite Julian Assange to the US that rape charges are made in Sweden, a country that would then allow the US to extradite Assange to the US. Sure they may be something to the rape charges, I don't know the facts, but I do know that it is extremely coincidental that the necessary charges (in this case Sony server breakdown) occur at a VERY convenient time.

  4. I bet it is A hacker. Sony has stated that they are looking into the possibility of third party involvement, which probably means it was. Annon ceased assaults on Sony when Sony settled with Geohot, so it is not them and they have said it was not them.

      1. That is just a FB page someone else set up. Their webpage says otherwise. Although, it does imply that the person/persons involved took part in Anons opsony.

  5. Discovery Channel Storm Chaser's Dominator car just left our restaurant!!!! They filmed inside. Gonna air October- Novemberish
