  1. Idk If it's coveritlive or badreception but ive lost rpad's live blog and can get it back :(

  2. That presser blew to high hell. Kinect bludgeoning was worse than the 3D gaming bludgeoning from Sony. They sold no new games today. I know what I'm buying later this year already. Oh well. MS easily 3rd this year w/o seeing the other 2.

    1. Totally agree. Those Kinect games where atrocious. I don't see MS surviving next gen with only bi-annual iterations of Halo/Fable and Gears/Forza.

  3. I'm sorry but there is no way to have a hardcore gaming experience with Kinect. Those Kinect games looked terrible. MS just showed the usual, more Halo, Fable, and Forza without introducing new IPs. This will hurt them in the long run. It seems that their strategy is to add Kinect support to multi platform games and that makes them their games. I can't see gamers playing Ghost Recon and putting down the controller to wave their arms to customize guns. They would rather just press the button and get back to the action with the controller. Every Kinect game has to be on rails and the hardcore gamers don't like that. I don't think many Kinect owners know what E3 is so I'm not sure they should have been so Kinect heavy but I guess that's all they had to show.

    1. I bet Sony pushes Move as much in their presser. Maybe a little less. We'll see though. Come on Nintendo! lol

      1. Not a chance. Move is pretty much an after thought at this point. There are hardly any games for it. Move is just an optional way to play core games. The NGP will be heavily pushed though.

      2. They cram move into lots of games. Core games on the 360 had/have Kinect in them now. You'll see Move.

      3. I'd agree that MS is leaning more heavily on their motion option than Sony is. I don't think sony is going to cut bait though. Move was supported in KZ3 and the latest Socom. I'd consider those to be hardcore type games. So at this point in time, I'm inclined to believe they'll have it as an option in a lot of their games…but probably not a 1st tier only option like that Fable title we saw. Dear god that is going to suck.

  4. From what I've seen and heard, Xbox's press conference has been largely disappointing. Of course, with both Nintendo and Sony releasing new hardware info during their conferences, it's not really a surprise that Microsoft's conference would come out at #3.

  5. As I was leaving my house 10 minutes ago XBL said there was an update available. So I guess that stuff may go live today after all.

  6. All those games looked nice but Kinect kills me. The speech recognition is cool but that is it.

  7. Youtube and Bing are the new free features added to a paid service, huh?

    1. At first I dismissed this comment for being RROD in classic character to celebrate E3… but then an hour or so passed and I have to say… you really do have a point, and I see that now.

It's like Walmart or any other store charging an entrance fee because you are going to breathe the store's air while your in there.

It's like being charged for water at a restaurant.

It's like a church saying "pay us so you can pray". (wait a minute… nevermind)

      1. Exactly. I like your example of Walmart charging an entrance fee for breathing their air in the store. Target lets you in for free and offer the same shopping experience but the Walmart shoppers say, "but more people shop at Walmart" or "Walmart made more money last year" or "Walmart sells more tvs than Target". Don't change the fact that Walmart is charging you for basically nothing. Then Walmart announce that they are raising the yearly entrance fee because they added vents to let in more air for you to breath and because they work out a deal with Hasbro to get their toys 1 month before Walmart does. Hasbro toys first at Walmart.

      2. You know… the fictional Walmart were eluding to might be in reality Sam's Club or Costco.

But all your examples really do happen. Both Target and Walmart get exclusive stuff… especially toys. I have a Troy Polamalu action figure that has an "only at Target" sticker on it.

Otherwise, more people do shop at Walmart, Walmart did sell more TV's last year (I'd assume), and I'm more than positive Walmart made more money. Hell, Walmart literally has more money than the nation of Denmark.

But… it is kind of a rip off.

      3. You're right. My wife loves shopping at Sam's. I never understood they fee just to go inside.

  8. I'm excited for NGP now. Battlefield 3 looks amazing, so I'll be getting that.

  9. Ya know…..I'm interested in Halo 4 after seeing the trailer for it again. I love sci-fi and Halo has a good story. I wasn't too fond of Reach and never played ODST…but if it continues the Master Chief arc I'm interested. This could be perhaps because I read the novels and I'm hoping for some really good tie-ins since it is a new studio.

Oddly enough I haven't cared about MP in Halo since CE when we used to system link lol

    1. I think Halo 4 will be a launch title for the new Xbox release for next year.
