iPhone 5 Assembled From Leaked Parts?

[Updated 7/30] Loads of purported iPhone 5 (or whatever it will be called) parts have been leaked over the last few months. The fastidious people at iLab Factory have assembled them to form Voltron illustrate what the final model will look like. Obvious changes include a longer form factor, a new dock connector, and a two-tone back. Head on over to the site to see several more pictures of iLab’s alleged iPhone 5.

Do you think these photos are legit? What do you think of the two-tone looks? Any longtime iPhone users out there worried about the new dock connector? Also, I want the white one!!!

  1. In that pic the antenna is beveled around the device unlike the current models or at least the angle makes it look like so. Anyway.

I’m not worried about the dock connector as long as the other end is still a USB port so it can connect to my new truck.

I hate the two tone back. It doesn’t make any sense and looks like it should have stayed in concept mode only. Why two tone if the antenna is outside and you can have a stainless or aluminum backplate?

If I do get one, it will of course be white.

  2. I am really digging the bigger display. I am totally gonna switch to Verizon when this comes out. It’s cheaper for me to take an earlier term w/ AT&T and pay the contract price for VZW than pay full price for one on AT&T.

    1. A bigger display is WAY overdue. After years of using screens that are larger than four inches, I wonder if the (rumored) four-inch screen on the next iPhone will feel small to me. That said, I have to pick one up to keep up with the market. *sigh* I need sponsorship.

  3. Regardless of what this looks likes, it will probably be my next phone. I’m slightly overdue for one. I’ll miss my 3G phone.

(… no I won’t) I just hope Apple will actually support THIS phone for at least 5 years.

  4. I’m not worried about how it looks. Worst case scenario, if you’re out in the wilderness with a dead battery, you can still signal SOS off the suns reflection on the back.

      1. I’d expect some external access. Otherwise a nano sim would be very close to the electronic sim they wanted but carriers pitched a fit over.
