What Are You Playing This Weekend?

This weekend I shall finish operation “Move My Catch Notes to Evernote.” I’m also going to play some 3DS games. As I was looking for a remote control (I still haven’t completely unpacked), I found my extra 3DS and some other accessories. I’ve been dabbling in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but finding my other 3DS has inspired me to go full-on with the game. So many of my friends in the gaming industry are head over heels for this one. It definitely has that Nintendo charm and I love its social elements.

That reminds me of this one time at band camp the Ziff-Davis office….. My friends James and I were the only ones in the office, so we visited everyone’s Animal Crossing town and chopped down all their trees. Ha! That’s such a nerdy prank and it still cracks me up to this day. Good times.

Anyway, what’s on your weekend playlist?

  1. Sandrock and I both have Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It’s crazily addicting lol. I will be playing FFXIV: ARR as the early release is tomorrow while the real launch is on the 27th. And prolly more tales of xillia. I haven’t opened up my new copy of splinter cell : blacklist yet lol

  2. Red Dead Redemption triple XP weekend going on now. I’ve got a bunch of cowboy-ish stuff to do. I’ll give credit to Rockstar for putting great personalities to their characters to the point that the story doesn’t matter (hell, they even make fun of it at one point in the game), but they can’t program multiplayer for shit. It’s just awful! If this is any indication of GTA V’s multiplayer, I weep for the future.

On a side note; you know you’ve been playing too much RDR when you start talking like John Marston at work.

      1. The politically correct term is: obsessive-compulsive statistical completionist, burnout.

Besides, I am damn proud of several of them. All Gears games on insane difficulty, all Halo games on Legendary, Perfect Knight in both Arkham games, Last Stand Master in Splinter Cell: Conviction. I could go on, but needless to say that I’m the guy that says “challenge accepted” when someone says that “You couldn’t hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle.”

      1. I like it! I love the challenging aspects of it. No ammo caches like other zombie games. Love to scavenge. Im planning to finish it and trade it in to best buy by the end of the week.

      2. The AI is pretty dumb but once its u and Ellie i think its better. I think the story us good. My gf wont let me play it without her
