Konami has confirmed that Kiefer Sutherland has replaced David Hayter as the voice actor for Solid Snake. Sutherland’s pipes will be heard in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. According to Polygon, Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima chose Sutherland on the advice of producer Avi Arad (longtime Marvel producer). The week before E3 is usually a dull one in terms of videogame releases. Still, there are few games that you should keep an eye on. Capcom’s Remember Me has been getting some buzz. This stealth-action game takes place in a futuristic version of Paris and uses some interesting sci-fi concepts. There are two games that you should keep your eyes on this week. The (far) more interesting one is Fuse by Insomniac. This four-player cooperative action game is being published by EA and will be available on multiple platforms. There are a couple of interesting games hitting store shelves this week. As a sci-fi nerd, I’m excited to see what Digital Extremes delivers with the new Star Trek game, which is based on JJ Abrams’ Star Trek universe. It looks like the only noteworthy game shipping this week is Injustice: Gods Among Us. Comic-book fanboys and fighting-game aficionados will definitely want to keep their eyes on this one. Microsoft’s Major Nelson (not his actual military title) has announced that WWE programming — including pay-per-view events — is now available through Xbox Live. Naturally, the programming is only accessible to Xbox Live Gold members. While the WWE channel will feature all kinds of information that lets you, “See the WWE Superstars and Divas like never before,” the juicy news is that, “Starting today, all WWE pay-per-view events are available right from your Xbox 360.”

Here’s a batch of new screens for the upcoming Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. When I saw the game last October, I was impressed by its art style, unique yet simple gameplay, and non-verbal storytelling. It reminded me of Ico, with a bit of Heavy Rain thrown in. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is coming to PC (via Steam), PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in Spring 2013.
